Phil Hettema Explores Interactivity in the I-Generation
Creative Executive of The Hettema Group headlines at TEA’s SATE 09
Hettema Group founder and creative executive Phil Hettema has been selected to join the distinguished roster of speakers at the upcoming industry think-tank SATE 2009.
Phil will be exploring the current and future state of social networking and interactivity in the I-Generation. With the ubiquity of iPhones and other smart devices, incorporating increasing levels of guest participation before, during, and after their on-site experience is now a “must” for future attractions.
Hettema explains that “finding, attracting, engaging, re-engaging and keeping tomorrow’s guest is crucial to future attraction success. The guest/visitor/buyer/attendee of 2010 and beyond is not only ready for--but expecting--a totally new level of engagement, participation and immersion in the experience of retail, dining, entertainment, urban districts and communities, as well as attractions—whether location-based or in themed districts. Today is the time to begin incorporating tomorrow’s technologies.”
SATE, which was established by the TEA, aims to incorporate the crucial disciplines of Story, Architecture, Technology and Experience in the planning and development of new generations of destination entertainment. This year’s gathering of 120+ entertainment industry experts will be held in Orlando, FL, September 24 and 25, 2009.
In addition to Phil Hettema, other distinguished speakers slated for SATE 09 include: Linda Smith and Dave Smith of Smithink, Mike West of Universal Creative, and Joe Rohde of Walt Disney Imagineering.
